Character
Learn skills, automate buffs, enchant abilities and distribute stats around the breakpoints that provide the greatest benefit to your build.
Quick Start
The most important character management rules.
Overview
The Character systems connect skills, buffs, Skill Enchantment, basic attributes, Elixirs and the detailed combat stat panel. Improving only the visible P. Atk. or M. Atk. value is not enough. Attribute breakpoints and hidden combat modifiers can change the most efficient upgrade for a build.
This guide is not limited to Chapter 1. Availability notes explain which Spellbooks and features unlock as Guardian progresses through later chapters.
Skills
Press K, or open Menu and select Skills. The Character tab separates Active, Passive and Available skills. The Item tab contains abilities learned through objects, while Enchant lists skills that can be improved.
Learn a new skill from Character > Available when its level and item requirements are satisfied. Depending on the ability, the fee can require Magic Tablets or a Spellbook of a specific rarity.

Spellbooks and Ancient Adena
Magic Tablets and Spellbooks are sold in the Merchant of Mammon section of the L Coin Store. Purchases use Ancient Adena, obtained by farming in Catacombs and completing these missions:
| Source | Frequency |
|---|---|
| Catacomb farming | While farming |
| Catacomb Raider | Daily mission |
| Seven Signs Inquisitor | Weekly mission |

Skill Enchantment
Select a compatible skill with the right mouse button and click Skill Enchantment.
Add Magic Tablets, Spellbooks or SP Pouches, then press Drain. Drained materials are consumed immediately and contribute points until the bar reaches 100%.
Review the current effect, next level result, Adena fee and success rate before confirming.

SP Pouch Craft
Click the pouch icon with a plus sign inside Skill Enchantment to craft SP Pouches. The shown recipe costs 50,000,000 SP and 10,000,000 Adena, with a limit of ten craft attempts per day.

Failure Protection
A failed enchant keeps the current skill level and grants Skill Enchant XP toward the next attempt. The reward increases by 90,000 points for every consecutive failure:
| Failures in a Row | Skill Enchant XP |
|---|---|
| 1 | 90,000 |
| 2 | 180,000 |
| 3 | 270,000 |
| 4 | 360,000 |
| 5 | 450,000 |
| 6 | 540,000 |
| 7 | 630,000 |
| 8 | 720,000 |
| 9 | 810,000 |
| 10 | 900,000 |
The failure count can reach ten. If the skill fails more than ten consecutive times, the counter returns to one.
Buffs
Buffs are learned in the Buffs section of the Skills window. Most last 20 minutes. Some class specific buffs have a shorter duration but provide stronger effects. Casting consumes Spirit Ores, and the required amount depends on the buff.
| Capacity | Maximum Buffs |
|---|---|
| Base character | 24 |
| Divine Inspiration Lv. 4 | 28 |
To automate a buff, place it on the shortcut bar and use the right mouse button. A bright border appears around the icon when automatic use is active. Applied buffs are displayed in the normal buff bar.

Character Status and Combat Power
Press T, or click the Character icon near the lower right interface, to open Character Status. The main panel displays HP, MP, CP, SP, P. Atk., M. Atk., P. Def., M. Def., Atk. Spd., Casting Spd. and Speed.
Combat Power appears in the upper right. Hover over it to see how much comes from Equipment, Doll effects, Doll Collections, Aden Laboratory and other contributing systems.

Combat Stats Info
Click Details beside Combat Stats to open the complete stat breakdown. Categories include Attack, Defense, Accuracy, Evasion, Speed, Critical Rate, Critical Damage, Recovery, Skill Cooldown, MP Consumption and Anomalies.
The panel separates percentage modifiers from numerical values and includes PvE, PvP, Soulshot, Spiritshot, Skill Power, weapon bonuses and many other modifiers. Hover over a row to read what the stat affects and how its value is calculated.

Base Stats and Breakpoints
| Stat | Main Effects |
|---|---|
| STR | P. Atk. and Physical Skill Critical Rate |
| INT | M. Atk. |
| DEX | Attack Speed and Basic Critical Rate |
| WIT | Casting Speed, Magic Skill Critical Rate and Magic Damage Resistance |
| CON | HP and CP, recovery, weight limit, breath gauge and Shield Defense Rate |
| MEN | Magic Defense, Max MP, MP Recovery Rate and Casting Interruption Rate |
Hover over a base stat to review its effects. Click Stat Bonus to see the bonuses unlocked at specific thresholds. These breakpoints can be more valuable than adding points to the primary stat without reaching its next reward.
WIT 40 grants M. Critical Rate +50, WIT 50 grants Magic Skill Cooldown +10%, and MEN 45 grants M. Def. +200. Magical characters should normally reach 50 WIT before building toward 90 INT. During early progression, reaching around 60 WIT is usually more valuable than stopping at 60 or 70 INT. Increasing how often magical skills critically hit generally provides more benefit at this stage than gaining 200 M. Skill Critical Damage from the INT breakpoint. Observe your actual critical frequency in combat. Once your skills critically hit almost every time, move excess WIT into INT.

Verify the Real Result
After reaching a breakpoint, open Combat Stats Info and compare the affected value. In the provided example, reaching 50 WIT increases the numerical M. Skill Critical Rate from 4 to 9.

Elixirs
Craft Elixirs through Special Craft > Upgrade / Growth > Upgrade. One attempt consumes ten Elixir Powders and has a 50% chance to produce one Elixir. A failed craft returns three Elixir Powders.
| Elixir Powder Source | Daily Amount |
|---|---|
| Assault on Elmoreden Tower | 3 |
| Elmoreden Lady | 1 |
Each consumed Elixir grants one additional base stat point. The usage limit begins at five Elixirs from levels 76 to 85 and rises with character level until reaching 29 at level 97 or higher.
| Level | Maximum Elixirs |
|---|---|
| 76 to 85 | 5 |
| 86 | 7 |
| 87 | 9 |
| 88 | 11 |
| 89 | 13 |
| 90 | 15 |
| 91 | 17 |
| 92 | 19 |
| 93 | 21 |
| 94 | 23 |
| 95 | 25 |
| 96 | 27 |
| 97 or higher | 29 |

Resetting Stat Points
A stat reset returns every additional stat point at the current level, including points earned through leveling and those supplied by Elixirs. The points are not lost and can be distributed again. The Adena cost increases according to the number of points currently spent.
| Points Spent | Reset Cost |
|---|---|
| 1 to 5 | 200,000 Adena |
| 6 to 10 | 500,000 Adena |
| 11 to 15 | 1,000,000 Adena |

Recommended Stat Goals
| Character Type | First Goal | Next Goal |
|---|---|---|
| Magical | 50 WIT | 90 INT |
| Physical | 90 STR | 60 DEX |
Magical characters should prioritize 50 WIT first for Magic Skill Critical Rate and its breakpoint bonuses, then build toward 90 INT. While stats are limited, additional WIT can be more valuable than INT if your critical hit frequency is still low. Physical characters should continue prioritizing STR before DEX. These are progression goals, so always compare your real combat values and use the appropriate reset tier when more points become available.
Common Mistakes
| Mistake | Why It Hurts |
|---|---|
| Distributing points without opening Stat Bonus | You may stop just below a powerful breakpoint or invest toward an unreachable one. |
| Checking only the basic Character Status values | Important PvE, PvP, Skill Power and critical modifiers remain hidden in Combat Stats Info. |
| Draining enchant materials before reviewing the requirement | Materials are consumed as soon as Drain is pressed. |
| Ignoring Spirit Ore consumption | Automated buffs can stop when the required consumables run out. |
| Assuming a failed Elixir craft loses all ten Powders | The failure result returns three Powders. |
