Patterns
Patterns are one of the most important permanent progression systems in Guardian. They provide long-term stat bonuses and can significantly increase farming efficiency, PvE damage and overall character performance.
Quick Start
Best priorities for the first days of Guardian progression.
Overview
Every Pattern focuses on a specific attribute such as STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIT or MEN. Upgrading a Pattern grants increasing bonuses, but the cost grows at higher levels.

Obtaining Paterns
Patterns can be obtained through Dye Boosters.
You can obtain a maximum of 3 Dye Boosters daily by hunting mobs
In order to obtain a Dye Coupon you will need 5 Dye Boosters and 5 million adena and can be obtained in the special craft window. Writting the Dye itself costs 1.3 million adena.

Stat Priority by Class
| Class Type | Primary | Secondary | Avoid Early |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mage | WIT | INT | CON |
| Dagger | DEX | STR | MEN |
| Archer | DEX | STR | MEN |
| Warrior | STR | DEX | MEN |
| Tank | CON | DEX | INT |
Required Materials
| Material | Used For |
|---|---|
| Dye Booster | Basic upgrade |
| Adena | Upgrade fee |

Recommended Upgrade Path
Upgrade your main Pattern immediately. The cost is low and the power gain is excellent.
Continue only if this Pattern is part of your long-term build.
Multi Dye System
You can have 2 different Patterns on each slot and you can freely swap between them while being out of combat which allows you to have different patterns sets based on the content you are completing.

Common Mistakes
| Mistake | Impact |
|---|---|
| Upgrading all Patterns equally | Very High |
| Ignoring WIT on mages | High |
| Spending all adena on Patterns | High |
| Upgrading without a final build | Medium |
